Passing Along The Torch

Several years ago, missionary Don Foster moved to the Democratic Republic of Congo to reach the Mbuti Pygmies, a disadvantaged people group in need of the gospel. After encountering a number of challenges, Don found his solution in the Messenger, a strategic tool for connecting with the Pygmies in their language.

Don recently traveled from his home in far eastern Congo to the western part of the country, where he joined a team from In Touch to distribute one of the most recent developments from our Messenger Lab—the Torch. This solar-powered flashlight comes loaded with Scripture and messages from Dr. Stanley, in addition to a speaker perfect for group listening. It also has the ability to serve as a lantern and lamp, providing light where electricity is scarce, and can be used to charge mobile phones. In the video above, watch as the team hands out the Torch to Pygmy leaders in three remote villages, where they encountered scores of people hungry to know more about Jesus.
